Khazaen Port Starts Logistics Operations
Khazaen is an integrated economic city being developed over 51.6 million sqm of land in Barka, Sultanate of Oman. Located strategically between Sohar Port, Muscat Airport and Muscat City Khazaen offer optimal business possibilities.
Envisioned to be a world-class city integrated with advanced economic assets, the city is expected to boost trading. Khazaen would be pivotal in the financial development of Oman by facilitating inter-continental shipment. It houses an inland dry port, free zone with tax benefits, logistics and warehousing facilities, industrial, commercial, and residential entities. The diversified investment scenario would be instrumental in remaining economically strong in the wake of uncertain global conditions.
Inaugurated on 15 December, Khazaen Dry Port is quickly turning into the anchor of the logistics projects in OMAN. Seamless transportation of goods into the local, national and international market is what this futuristic port offers. Close-knit links with all the ports in the Sultanate of Oman provides quick and cost-effective logistic services across the world. It would soon become the global hub for cargo shipment
Representatives from the top logistics firms were present during the inaugural ceremony. With the commencement of the operations, the port has opened up a streamlined transportation process. It is considered as the official gateway at the centre of the northern part of the Sultanate, close to the capital city of Musket.
The highlight of the ceremony was the signing of a long term agreement to use the services of the port by two leading shipping companies, SEALAND SHIPPING & TRADING LLC C/O SOHAR SHIPPING TRANSPORT AND TRADING AGENCIES LLC and NAQEL EXPRESS.
